DIY | Room Decor: Floral Lamp

Hello Loves!~

I'm a lover of lights, I constantly see myself wanting new candles,
lamps, christmas lights and anything that can make my room
look uber cute. 

I bought a new lamp for my night stand (like I said
I was goingto in my last home decor post)
BUT, Ive had an old lamp lounging around for a few years and
Ithought why not change it?

puede hacer mi cuarto súper lindo. He comprado una lámpara nueva para mi mesita de noche (como dije en mi último

post de decoración del hogar) PERO, he tenido una vieja lámpara tirada por ahí alrededor de unos pocos años y pensé

¿Por qué no cambiarla?

The story of the old ugly lamp:

It all started when my younger brother was born, I think it was in 1996; (Yup Im not sure).
My mom made this really cute bedroom theme for the baby, it was all baby blue
and baby Micky Mouse. 

I just said baby like 3 times in one sentence I know.

La historia de la lámpara vieja y fea: 

Todo comenzó cuando nació mi hermano menor, creo que fue en 1996, (sí, no estoy segura). Mi mamá hizo un

tema realmente lindo para la habitación del bebé, todo era azul bebé y el bebé Micky Mouse. Okay, dije bebé como 

3 veces en una frase, ya sé. 

So after my baby brother was around 4, he started sleeping in my room cause
he was afraid of the dark,and he took his lamp with him to my room.
Time flew, and when my brother was around 9 he said
hedidn't want the lamp anymore cause it was for babies (go figure).
Therefore my mom decided to paint the lamp with a baseball theme, what he liked
at the moment. But (sorry mom) she literally RUINED IT. (Sorry mom, again)
it was so so so ugly with all that grass green color on top. UGH.

Así que después que mi hermanito cumplió alrededor de 4 años, comenzó a dormir en mi cuarto a causa de que tenía

miedo a la oscuridad, y el fue con todo y su lámpara a mi habitación. El tiempo voló, y cuando mi hermano estaba en

torno a los 9 años, dijo que no quería la lámpara más porque era para bebés (figurate). Por lo que, mi mamá decidió pintar

la lámpara con un tema del béisbol, lo que le gustaba en ese momento al mocoso. Pero... (mami lo siento) literalmente

arruinó la lampara. (Lo siento ma, otra vez) quedó tan tan tan fea, con todo ese color verde grama en la parte superior.

UGH.

So guess what? My brother didn't want the lamp either. So it stayed in a corner
for a long long time, and I to some extent used it for my reading. (things is I didn't like it either)
So to make the story short, I needed a second lamp a couple of months ago
for filming and BAM saw the old ugly one waving at me

(am I being too dreamy?) So I decided to give it a total makeover.

Así que ¿adivinen? Mi hermano no quizo la lámpara. Así que se quedó en un rincón por un largo tiempo, y en cierta

medida lo us para mi lectura. (la cosa es que no me gustaba tampoco) Así que para hacer el cuento corto; hace un par de

meses necesitaba una segunda lámpara  para grabar un videito y BAM, vi a la vieja fea saludandome desde la esquina

(estoy siendo demasiado soñadora?) Así que decidí darle un cambio de imagen total.

Don't judge, this Hot glue gun has like 7 years with me, and THAT means a lot!

No me juzguen! Esta pistola de pega ha estado conmigo por 7 años, y eso significa MUCHO!

I didnt know where to start, but I knew it has to match my room theme, so I opted for pink flowers

and plain white shade.

No sabía por dónde empezar, pero sabía que tiene que combinar con el tema de mi cuarto, así que opté por flores 

de color rosa y  pantalla totalmente blanca.
