Skincare | Dark Circles ♡ Ojeras




One of the main causes of dark circles under your eyes is rubbing provoked by allergies. 
Since Im a pro in having all kinds of allergies I can surely tell you some stuff you need to know.
Allergies can be induced by season changes or various foods. Or in my case ANYTHING. 
If your dark circles are because of allergies, use a very gentle cleanser and be sure to avoid 
rubbing your eyes.


The second main cause is genetics. If your parents suffer from dark circles, it is very possible 
you will also. THANKS MOM.

The third reason for dark circles, is visible veins as a result of thinning skin! This is why you 
may notice that dark circles increase with age. The older you get, the darker they'll get. Use 
a little retinoid around the eye area to increase collagen production, and thicken the skin.

Salt. Makes you retain fluids. One of the areas where you really notice there's is fluid retention 
is under the eyes. If you tend to suffer from bags under the eyes reduces salt consumption.

Sleep. Lack of sleep is another main cause for dark circles. Doctors recommend an average of
7 or 8 hours of sleep for adults. If you don't sleep very well on Saturday try to sleep a little more 
on Sunday.

If your dark circles seem to be on top of the skin (as in pigmentation of the skin), you should use 
a skin lightening product. Hydroquinone, arbutin, or kojic acid are a few ingredients that can aid 
in lightening hyper-pigmentation.

Use a gentle eye cream daily, and tap it very gently into the eye area with your middle finger. 
Avoid tugging or pulling at the eye area. Avoid sleeping on your stomach, as this can increase 
blood pooling under the eyes. Try to sleep on your back, if at all possible. 

Use  Eye Masks. The delicate skin around the eyes benefits from a special mask for this area. If 
you prefer natural masks other than tea, try raw potatoes, cucumbers or simply a cold cloth.

Top Tips: 

1. Take two green-tea bags and soak them in hot water. Put them in the freezer until they become very cool. Place them on your eyes and sit with them on for 15-20 minutes. The caffeine in the green-tea will help with dark circles around the eyes.

2. Look for an eye cream that also contains caffeine, and keep your eye cream in the fridge for added benefits.

3. Try a good concealer. Ask for advice on concealing dark circles if you need it.

Una de las principales causas de los círculos negros bajo los ojos es provocada por alergias 
y el frote. Dado que soy una profesional en tener todo tipo de alergias, seguramente les puedo 
decir algunas cosas que necesitan saber. Las alergias pueden ser inducidas por los cambios de 
estación o varios alimentos. O en mi caso TODO. Si tus ojeras son causa de alergias, utiliza un 
limpiador suave y asegúrate de evitar frotarte los ojos.

La segunda causa principal es la genética. Si tus padres sufren de ojeras, es muy posible que tu 
también lo harás. GRACIAS MAMÁ.

La tercera razón para las ojeras, son esas pequeñas venas visibles como resultado del adelgazamiento 
de la piel! Es por eso que puede observar que las ojeras aumentan con la edad. Cuanto más viejo 
te haces, más oscuras se ven. Se aconseja utilizar retinoide (Quimico) alrededor de los ojos para 
aumentar la producción de colágeno, y espesar la piel.

La Sal. Te hace retener líquidos. Una de las áreas en las que realmente se nota que hay retención 
de líquidos es bajo los ojos. Si tienes tendencia a sufrir de bolsas debajo de los ojos reduce el 
consumo de sal.

Dormir. La falta de sueño es otra de las causas principales de las ojeras. Los médicos recomiendan 
un promedio de 7 u 8 horas de sueño para adultos. Si no duermes muy bien el sábado trata de dormir 
un poco más el domingo.

Si tus ojeras parecen estar en la parte superior de la piel (como en la pigmentación de la piel), se debe 
utilizar un producto para aclarar la piel. La hidroquinona, la arbutina, ácido kójico o algunos ingredientes 
que pueden ayudar en aclarar la hiper-pigmentación.

Usa una crema de ojos a diario, y da ligeros toques en el área de los ojos con el dedo medio. Evite tirar 
o halar la zona de los ojos. Evite dormir sobre su estómago, ya que esto puede aumentar la acumulación 
de sangre debajo de los ojos. Trate de dormir boca arriba, si es posible.

Use máscarillas de ojos. La delicada piel alrededor de los ojos debe de tener los beneficios de una mascarilla 
especial para esta área. Si prefieres mascarillas naturales distintas al té, intenta con papas, pepinos o 
sencillamente un paño frío.

Los mejores consejos:

1. Toma dos bolsas de té verde y déjelos remojar en agua caliente. Póngalas en el congelador hasta 
que esten bien frias. Colócalas en los ojos durante 15-20 minutos. La cafeína en el té verde ayudará 
con las ojeras.

2. Busca una crema para los ojos que también contenga cafeína, y puedes mantenerla en la nevera para 
beneficios adicionales.

3. Para ocultarlas prueba con un buen corrector. Pide consejos de como ocultar las ojeras, si lo necesitas.
