Review | Revlon & Sante Nail Polishes

Believe or not I never EVER owned a Revlon or Sante nail polish, to be honest,

Sante never got my attention at all, I assumed cause of the packaging that it was a

bad brand, and a cheap quality nail polish. I mean, the bottle is so damn ugly.

I still dont like it. But someday my friend Justine from Justine's Secret was wearing

this awesome I-cant-describe blue.

I asked her what brand was and she said Sante. What -to be honest- didn't excited me

that much. Then we started talking about the brand along our friend Luisa and they totally recommended it to me. So I was looking for THAT one nail polish exactly for the past

couple of months. In the exhausting search I bought 14 nail polishes just because I cant

leave a place with my hands empty (Sante I blame you!)

Now I have 3 Sante nail polish and they are awesome, at least the three I got. Quality is

very good price is excellent and I just try not to look at the bottle so much. haha! 

Now talking about Revlon. The same goes for this one. The bottle is not quite striking

is ugly and the print is always fading in some parts. Paying 200 pesos for something

I wont like its not something I would consider. I tried buying a pair once cause there

was this some sort of special offer in jumbo the pay one get one free thing.  So I

immediately went to Jumbo and for my surprise they had the pairs already set, they

were taped to each other, and it was the most ugly combinations I could ever imagine.

Like no kidding. So I end up buying 4 OPI without any freaking offer. But Hey,

you gotta do what you gotta do. I love OPI and Essie so much its unhealthy.

Then my mom got me one she does use Revlon but the colors she uses are not

somethingI would use so I never really tried them before. She got me this Orangy

kinda Coral one and it looks so damn cute on the bottle I automatically wanted to

paint my nails, so I did.

I dont know if its because of my skin color and the weather but I HATE IT -sorry

The color looks hideous on me, that's because of my skin type I know, BUT I had to

go through 3 super heavy coats to get it to "work" if thats what you call work. And

I didn't wanted to coats to be heavy, its just the super stiff brush it has and the creamy

consistency of it.

I dont wanna be in total discomfort of the bran cause I love Revlon make up products

a lot so I might try another nail polish before digging it out from my good nail polish

brand list.

Any color recommendation? Whats your favorite Revlon or Sante Nail polish?

Aunque no lo creas, nunca he tenido un esmalte de uñas Sante o  Revlon , y para ser 

honesta, Sante nunca me llamó la atención, asumí por su envase que se trataba de un

marca mala y de baja calidad. Osea es que la botella esta tan fea. Todavía no me gusta. 

Pero un día mi amiga Justine de Justine de Secret llevaba este impresionante color al que 

llame azul-indescribible.

Le pregunté qué marca era y me dijo Sante. Lo que -para ser honesta- no me entusiasmó 

la vida. Entonces empezamos a hablar de la marca junto a nuestra amiga Luisa y me la 

recomendaron totalmente. Así que yo me pasé buscando ese esmalte en especifico por los 

pasados dos meses. En la búsqueda agotadora me terminé comprando 14 esmaltes sólo 

porque no puedo dejar un lugar con las manos vacías (Sante te culpo a ti!)

Ahora tengo 3 esmaltes Sante y son impresionantes, al menos los tres que tengo. La calidad 

es muy buena y el precio es excelente. Así que ya trato de no ver la botella tanto. haha!

Ahora hablando de Revlon. Lo mismo ocurre con éste. La botella no es bastante llamativa,

es fea y la impresión siempre esta decolorada en algunas partes. Y pues pagar 200 pesos 

por algo que no me gustará es algo que no consideraría. Traté de comprar un par una vez 

porque había un tipo de oferta especial el paga uno, llevate el otro gratis en Jumbo. Por lo que,

inmediatamente fuí a Jumbo y para mi sorpresa ya tenían los pares establecidos, los habian

atado con cinta adhesiva unos a otros, y fueron las combinaciones más horribles que jamás 

podría imaginar.

Así que acabé comprandome 4 esmaltes OPI sin ninguna condenada oferta. Pero bueno,

me encanta tanto OPI y Essie que ya es poco saludable.

Entonces mi mamá -que si usa Revlon- me compró uno. Los colores que ella usa no son

de mi agrado así que nunca los he probado antes. Ella me consiguió este anaranjado medio

coraloso y se ve tan extremadamente lindo en la botella que enseguida quería pintarme las 

uñas, así que lo hice.

No sé si es debido a mi color de piel y este clima, pero lo odio -lo siento. El color se ve 

horrible en mí, eso es debido a mi tipo de piel, lo sé, pero tuve que aplicar 3 capas super 

pesadas para conseguir que "funcionara", si a eso llamamos funcionar. Yo ni siquiera 

quería que las capas fueran gruesas, es culpa de la brocha súper rígida que tiene y la 

consistencia cremosa del mismo.

No quiero esta incomoda con la marca porque me encantan los productos de maquillaje 

de Revlon, así que podría probar con otro esmalte de uñas antes de sacarlo de mi listado 

de buenas marcas de esmaltes. 

Me recomiendan algún color? ¿Cuál es tu color favorito de Revlon o Sante?
